Do Russians need a visa for Bali in 2023?
Citizens of the Russian Federation need a visa to enter Bali.
When you arrive in Indonesia, you will need the following documents:
- VOA/E-VOA or B211 visas;
- International Passport that does not expire for at least 6 more months;
- Return tickets (to any country);
- Covid vaccine certificate (any kind with any dates, but at least 14 days need to have passed since the vaccine). Children under 18 do not need a Covid vaccine certificate.
Booking confirmation for a hotel or villa (temporary accommodation). The address of the booking has to be the same as the address in the visa.
If you apply for a visa ahead of time, you will have 90 days to enter Indonesia, and your visa will be activated once you cross the border.

There are several types of visas available:
- E-VOA Indonesia can be done ahead of time, with a 90-day entry window. Only foreign bank cards are accepted, Russian bank cards are not accepted. Most difficulties arise because of this. It is recommended that tourists contact visa agencies located in Indonesia for all the paperwork services. The visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended one time for 30 days. You do not have to go to the immigration office to extend the visa if you can extend it online. Please note that online service often has errors and clients have to go to the immigration office in person.
- The VOA (visa on arrival) costs 500 000 IDR at the airport. It is valid for 30 days and can also be extended for 30 days, once. You do have to go to the immigration office for the extension. If you decide to extend your visa on your own, you will have to go to the immigration office 3 times. If you go through a visa agency, the extension will cost 1.000.000. But you will only have to go to the immigration office once, for fingerprints, which will save you time.
- B211 Visa is the preferred visa if you are going to spend over 30 days in Indonesia. You apply for 60 days. The arrival window is 90 days.
