NPWP (TIN) – Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajаk – is a taxpayer’s number.
NPWP is done for a company and for a private individual.
Indonesian tax office requires that all people living in Indonesia have their own NPWP. It also applies to expats. According to the tax office, all expats living in Indonesia have to register with the tax office, receive their TIN and pay monthly income taxes, submit annual tax declarations and pay taxes on the income they receive outside Indonesia.
